The need

Prevention begins in the community

Abuse, exploitation, and violence continue where they go unrecognized and unreported. Many families and community members are not aware of the warning signs, or of where to report a concern once they see one.

Awareness is prevention. When a community knows what harm looks like and how to respond, children are protected long before a crisis reaches them.

What KRN is doing

Awareness that mobilizes neighbors

KRN raises awareness and mobilizes communities to prevent abuse, exploitation, and violence. Outreach connects communities to KRN's child protection work — including the Child Protection Hotline — so that a concern can become a report and a report can become help.

Human trafficking prevention and awareness are discussed within this work, alongside abuse and exploitation prevention.

Media & outreach

Kingdom Family Hour and KRN media

KRN's media and communications work supports this program. The Kingdom Family Hour radio show, launched in 2024 on ELWA 94.5 FM, and KRN TV carry family-focused teaching, community stories, and awareness messages across Liberia.
